From Natural Bridge to historic Lexington, Virginia. This small town is as cute as can be, and set in some gorgeous countryside. Lucy just drove and drove as I gazed out the windows in wonder!

The historic downtown is absolutely charming, and we wandered for hours up and down the streets.

Lexington is a rather prestigious small town, as it is home to
Washington and Lee University and the
Virginia Military Institute. We stopped and visited
Lee Chapel on the Washington and Lee campus. General Lee was president of the university after the Civil War, and is buried on the campus.
